Laura and Seth Paris attended the “Berkeley 1” Feldenkrais Professional Training Program from 1993 – 1997. Their esteemed teachers were Elizabeth Beringer, David Bersin, and Dennis Leri. They were also influenced by frequent guest teachers Mark Reese and Larry Goldfarb, among others.
Since 1995 this duo instigated start-up Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement (ATM) group classes in a wide variety of venues throughout the San Francisco and Monterey Bay Areas. They have taught to diverse student populations, spanning age 13 – 105, from performing athletes and musicians to those with significant limitations.
Seth and Laura collaborate on ATM lesson structure and effect; their talents lie in combining lessons into class and workshop series, with coherent, elegantly designed themes. They started this website in 2001, the first site to offer ATM lessons as MP3 audio downloads. In 2004 they took a 10 year hiatus from adding new material to Easymovement.com, to pursue graduate school, build careers, and parent their son Theo.
Now in 2014 they are back! Easymovement.com has a fresh look and new ATM sets. You can look forward to continued addition of ATM lessons on a regular basis. This site serves two purposes: one is to offer high quality, affordable, instantly obtainable lessons to Feldenkrais students worldwide. The second is to help other ATM teachers by giving them material to teach. Laura offers distance mentorship to ATM teachers, by providing teaching notes and guidance in exchange for student referrals to Easymovement.com. Please contact her by emailing Laura.
